Technical drawing is the language production, assembly and construction sites use to communicate. Whoever can read it knows what to do before anyone has to explain it — and avoids costly mistakes. In this course we teach you to read and understand drawings the way they are used in Dutch workplaces: from the sheet and the title block, through lines and dimensions, to projections, sections and 3D views.
The course is for production, assembly, workshop and construction workers — for anyone who is handed a drawing and has to work from it. No previous experience is required. Classes are held in Polish, and every theory block ends with exercises on real drawings. On completion you receive a certificate of attendance.
Course programme
- Types of technical drawings: orthographic and axonometric; assembly, general arrangement, detail, installation drawings
- Standards: sheet formats (A0–A4), drawing area, the title block and how to read it
- Scale: 1:1, reductions and enlargements
- Line types and thicknesses according to ISO 128, and their use in mechanical and construction drawings
- Rules for drawing broken lines and line precedence
- Dimensioning: dimension lines, arrowheads, extension lines, common mistakes
- Orthographic projection (European method): view arrangement, principal view, additional views
- Axonometric projection: isometric, dimetric, oblique; sections in axonometry
- Exercises: reading and interpreting drawings from the shop floor
We run the course at our training centres in Schiedam and Lier, and for companies also on site — as training for the whole crew.
