Employee well-being (stress, medication, condition, day of the week)

If you feel unwell, don’t feel up to it, or have problems at home, report it to your supervisor. These factors increase the risk of an accident at work because they occupy your mind and prevent you from focusing on the activities you are doing. Take a day or two or three off – solve the emergency situation that is troubling you and return to work with a clear head. If you are ill and taking medication (permanently or one-time) that may affect your work (e.g. flu medication containing pseudoephedrine may have a negative impact on your perception of reality) – inform your supervisor.

Remember that your supervisor does not live in your head and does not know what is troubling you. If you do not tell them about it, they will assume that everything is fine. Also remember that if you do not inform your supervisor about your situation and an accident related to it occurs – you will be responsible for the consequences of this accident and you will bear all its consequences.

The day of the week also matters. On Monday, your thoughts may still be somewhere else, and the content of various “cheering” substances in your body may still be quite high. On Friday, in turn, from noon on all radio stations you can hear that the weekend is getting closer. Can you really focus on work on these days? Or maybe on these days the risk in the workplace is greater?

If you have a physically demanding job, you also need to take care of your condition. Both mental and physical. The good condition of your body means less susceptibility to illness, greater endurance, less fatigue after a day’s work. Exercise, take care of your health and your physical condition.

Remember! A moment of inattention, lack of focus on the activities performed at work, can end in serious accidents.
